Beer Bread
Alya’s mom’s bread recipe (for the bread machine):
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 7 oz water
- 3 oz beer
- 1 Tbsp vinegar
- 1/4 tsp yeast
Mix the dough – you can let the bread machine do it on “bake rapid”. Set the timer for 11-13 hours, basic bake setting.
Possible modification:
- substitute 1 cup to 1 1/2 cups of the flour with spelt or whole wheat
Recent experiment:
- no vinegar
- 1/3 cup sourdough starter
- added 1 Tbsp flour
