Alya loved having these (perhaps a different recipe) after sleepovers at Dana’s dad’s(?) house back in middle school.
I’ve been baking it in a loaf pan or (if doubled) in a bundt pan. Cutting the butter works fine, if you like. It’s more like 2 servings than 4.
I tried this recipe, which has somewhat different proportions. I didn’t like the texture quite as much; it’s very smooth, but less fluffy.
I’ve been just using lemon juice & powdered sugar (without butter) for the sauce, with fresh berries on the side (if available). We’ve also made a Simple Berry Sauce (just blueberries), and served the oven pancakes with the sauce and lemon juice.
