Granola bars
We used the overall approach from the source recipe with the following ingredient list:
Dry ingredients:
- 2 cups almonds, roasted
- 3/4 cup other roasted nuts (pistachios and walnuts have both been good)
- 3/4 cup dried cherries or other fruit
- 1/2 cup puffy cereal (we quite like Kellogg’s All-Bran Buds for this)
- 2 tbsp ground flax meal
- 1/2 cup coconut flakes
Syrup:
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/3 cup brown rice syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
Salt at end
We use the approach from the dark chocolate sea salt bars, of sprinkling some added salt at the end to ensure delicious salty bars.
