Orange Ricotta Matzo Brei

  • 4 matzos
  • orange juice (enough to cover the matzos)
  • raisins (a handful or so)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp cloves
  • 1/2 C ricotta cheese
  • butter for frying


  • Put the raisins and juice in a pot, and bring to a boil. Let it boil down a bit.
  • Pour juice over broken matza, and squish it down with a lid.
  • Proceed as in the original recipe.

Serve with lots of lemon juice. The texture isn’t quite as nice as the Lemon Ricotta Matzo Brei, but the orange flavor is nice.
